GABEK® (Complete Management of Complexity) is a PC-assisted method for the analysis, processing and presentation of knowledge. Developed by Univ.- Prof. Dr. Josef Zelger, it is used, among other things, to record and process processes in social organizations “from the point of view of the persons surveyed”. Basic values and objectives of the stakeholders can be uncovered, possible measures are proposed. Implementation of GABEK® results promotes collaborative collaboration in social organisations, conflicts can be addressed and favorable organisational development stimulated.
The volume GABEK® VI deals thematically with guidance on socially responsible decision-making processes. On the basis of conceptual considerations and empirical studies, it is shown how relevant beliefs, attitudes, values and wishes of the affected persons, but also of conflict and interest groups can be taken into account. With the qualitative research method GABEK® “social ontologies” are presented on the basis of verbal data. They serve decision-makers as maps for orientation in the opinion landscape. By simulating discussions between stakeholders, GABEK® can create a basis for sustainable regional development, which is supported by those affected.
