- Josef Zelger in conversation with Rudolf Wille, author of formal conceptual analysis and founder of the Ernst Schröder Center
The Ernst Schröder Centre for Conceptual Knowledge Processing e.v. promotes training, research, development and application in the field of Conceptual Knowledge Processing. With the 80th Colloquium, the Ernst Schröder Center is continuing its series of lectures on human-friendly knowledge processing.
At the 1st Ernst Schröder Colloquium on December 4, 1993, the mathematics professors Rudolf Wille, Peter Burmeister, Erich Karl Wolff, Bernhard Ganter and the psychology professor Thomas Bernhard Seiler presented 5 essays by Josef Zelger on the GABEK procedure. Josef Zelger, the author of GABEK®, was invited to answer only questions. This sought to explore GABEK's knowledge organisation and knowledge presentation methodology.
Twenty years later, Josef Zelger gave two detailed lectures on GABEK and the associated software WinRelan at the 80th Ernst Schröder Colloquium on 6 and 7 December 2013. The astonishing thing was that both the founder of the Ernst-Schröder-Zentrum Rudolf Wille and the other speakers of the 1st Enrst-Schröder-Kolloquiums – with the exception of Bernhard Ganter, who now teaches at the University of Dresden – were present again. In addition, members of the Darmstadt ontology group have joined the lectures.
