Dr. Ernst Fleischhacker, initiator of the GABEK project, writes in the program booklet:
Who are we? Where do we come from? Where are we going? These were the central questions that the planning association Zillertal asked about 10 years ago.

The answer was the vision “Five Stars Region Zillertal”. One basis for this was the scientific exploration of the Volksseele, with the so-called GABEK method of Professor Zelger. This made it possible to work out the diverse topics and fields of relationship that describe the identity of the valley.

Martina Keiler – who at the time participated in the study as an interview partner – now uses the result of this study as the basis for her play, with which she now brings to the surface what is hidden deep in the Zillertaler Volksseele. The valley can thus experience itself constantly now and in the future and warn itself that in the constant field of tension between ecology, economy and social things, no connection must ever break.
